Burger King Review: Mr. Krabs Cheesy Tater Tots
These are probably one of the more interesting items from the lineup, just because they actually bring something different to the table.
Visually, they look like regular tater tots, but once you bite into them, you get that cheesy center, which is where they stand out.
The outside is crispy and golden, exactly what you want from a tot. The inside is soft potato with a melted cheese core that adds both flavour and texture.
The cheese is smooth and slightly salty, which works really well with the potato. It doesn’t feel artificial or overly processed — it’s simple, but it works.
Texture is the highlight here. You get that crunch on the outside and then the soft, creamy inside, which makes them a lot more interesting than regular fries or plain tots.
They’re also easy to snack on, which makes them one of the more shareable items.
Flavour-wise, they’re not super complex, but they don’t need to be. It’s a classic combo done well.

Crispy, cheesy, and actually worth trying. One of the better items in the lineup.
