Starbucks Review: Pistachio Cortado

This one is easily the most “coffee-first” drink out of this group, and it shows immediately.

Visually, it’s simple. Smaller, clean, and not overloaded with toppings or extras. It doesn’t try to be flashy, which actually fits what it is.

The first sip is strong. The espresso hits right away, and it’s not softened much. That’s kind of the whole point of a cortado though — equal parts espresso and milk, not a sugary drink.

The pistachio comes in after, but it’s subtle. It doesn’t jump out at you. Instead, it sits underneath the coffee and gives it a slightly nutty, smoother finish.

It doesn’t taste like a dessert. It tastes like a proper coffee with a hint of flavour added.

The texture is smooth and velvety, exactly what you expect from a cortado. No foam overload, no heaviness.

This is not for someone looking for something sweet or fun. This is for someone who actually likes coffee and just wants something slightly different.

Final Verdict:

Strong, smooth, and subtle. A coffee drink first, pistachio second.
