McDonald’s Review: Chicken Big Mac
This one sounds like it should be a simple swap, but it ends up feeling a bit different from what you expect.
Visually, it looks exactly like a Big Mac — same structure, same layers — just with chicken instead of beef.
The first bite is familiar, but slightly off.
You still get the Big Mac sauce right away, along with the lettuce and bread, which makes it feel recognizable.
But the chicken changes the overall balance.
Instead of the richness you get from beef, the chicken is lighter and slightly crispier, which shifts the whole sandwich.
That can go either way.
On one hand, it feels less heavy and easier to eat.
On the other, it loses some of that depth that makes a Big Mac a Big Mac.
The sauce becomes more dominant because the chicken isn’t as strong flavour-wise.
Texture:
- soft bun
- crispy chicken
- fresh lettuce
It’s still good, but it doesn’t hit the same way as the original.
This feels more like a variation than a replacement.
It works, but it doesn’t fully justify itself over the classic.
Final Verdict:
Familiar but lighter. A decent variation, but it loses some of the depth that makes the original stand out.
