Copycat Recipe: Dubai Style Chocolate Sandwich Cookie

Ingredients

Cookie Base

  • 1½ cups flour
  • ½ cup cocoa powder
  • ½ cup butter (softened)
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt

Filling

  • ½ cup chocolate spread
  • ¼ cup heavy cream

Instructions

1. Make dough

Cream butter and sugar.

Add egg and vanilla.

Mix in flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.

2. Shape

Form thick cookies and flatten slightly.

3. Bake

Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 10–12 minutes.

4. Make filling

Mix chocolate spread and heavy cream until smooth.

5. Assemble

Once cookies cool, spread filling between two cookies.

Tips

  • Don’t overbake — keep cookies soft
  • Chill dough for thicker cookies
  • Use rich chocolate spread for better flavour
  • Let cookies cool before assembling
