Copycat Recipe: Starbucks Salted Caramel Mocha Strato
Ingredients (2 servings)
- 1 cup brewed espresso or strong coffee (cooled)
- 1 cup milk (dairy or oat)
- 2 tbsp cocoa powder
- 2 tbsp caramel sauce
- 1 tbsp sugar (optional, adjust to taste)
- ½ cup heavy cream
- Pinch of sea salt
- Ice
Instructions
- Make mocha base: Whisk cocoa powder with a splash of hot coffee until smooth. Stir in the rest of the coffee, milk, and 1 tbsp caramel. Chill.
- Make foam: Whip heavy cream with 1 tbsp caramel and a pinch of sea salt until light and pourable.
- Assemble: Fill glasses with ice, pour mocha base over, then top with salted caramel foam.
- Serve: Sip through the foam for that layered, “strato” effect.
