Review: Starbucks Strawberries & Cream Cake Pop

Unlike some of Starbucks’ cuter cake pops that lean all sugar and no flavor, the Strawberries & Cream actually delivers. The outer coating isn’t waxy, and while it doesn’t scream white chocolate, it’s smooth enough to let the inside shine.

The cake itself is moist and packed with flavor. You definitely get strawberry — though it’s more candy-like strawberry than fresh fruit. Even so, it’s a welcome change from cake pops that taste generically sweet without direction.

It’s still sugary, of course, but at least it has a point of view. Sweet, strawberry-forward, and balanced by that creamy texture, it’s a cake pop you could actually order on occasion rather than just once for the novelty.

Bottom Line:

The Strawberries & Cream Cake Pop feels more grown-up than some of Starbucks’ seasonal mascots. Still very sweet, but it earns it with flavor. If you like strawberry candy or milkshakes, this one’s worth picking up once in a while.

✨ I’ll be sharing a Substack recipe soon for a Strawberries & Cream cake pop you can make at home — same candy-sweet strawberry flavor, but with a fresher spin.
