Copycat Recipe: Starbucks Brown Sugar Strato

Ingredients (2 servings)

  • 1 cup brewed espresso or strong coffee (cooled)
  • 1 cup milk (dairy or oat)
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar syrup (or 2 tbsp brown sugar dissolved in hot water)
  • ½ tsp molasses (optional, for depth)
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Ice

Instructions

  1. Make base: Mix cooled espresso, milk, and brown sugar syrup. Chill.
  2. Foam top: Whip cream with vanilla and a drizzle of molasses until light but pourable.
  3. Assemble: Fill glasses with ice, pour coffee mixture over, and spoon the brown sugar cream on top.
  4. Serve: Sip through the sweet foam for that “strato” layered balance.
