Review: Tim Hortons Pumpkin Spice Muffin
The first bite comes mostly from the muffin top — soft, flaky, and topped with pumpkin seeds that give a nice crunch and a little rustic fall touch. Flavor-wise, the muffin itself is a balanced mix of pumpkin and warm spices without being overpowering. It feels like classic pumpkin spice done right: cozy but not too sweet.
Where it stumbles is the filling. The texture is runny and the flavor doesn’t quite match the muffin; instead of complementing it, it hijacks the bites where it shows up. The muffin on its own would’ve been a near-perfect seasonal snack, but the filling throws the balance off.
Texture overall is moist but also crumbly, the kind of muffin that feels homemade in the best way but might leave a few crumbs behind. Portion-wise, one is absolutely enough — and if you’re not into the filling, cutting it in half and scraping it out makes it much more enjoyable.
Bottom Line: A cozy fall muffin that shines when you stick to the outer bites. The filling is the only misstep, but if you’re a pumpkin spice fan who doesn’t mind a little mess, it’s worth grabbing with your morning coffee.
Next week, I’ll be sharing my exclusive copycat recipe for this muffin — moist, spiced, and topped with pumpkin seeds, but with a filling that actually matches instead of overpowering. Subscribe so you don’t miss it.
