Review: Tim Hortons Protein Lattes (Hot & Iced)
The first thing you notice is the foam — there’s a surprising amount, more than on a standard latte. Both the hot and iced versions taste impressively close to a regular latte, just thicker and creamier. The fact that there’s no chalky aftertaste is a win; it feels like coffee first, protein boost second.
Flavor-wise, they’re almost identical to a latte, but with a little “extra” depth that adds rather than distracts. The difference shows more in the texture. The hot version is heavier, almost like drinking melted ice cream — a bit too thick for comfort once it warms up. The iced, though, is where the format shines: creamy, rich, and filling in a way that feels natural.
Size-wise, a medium iced hits the sweet spot — something you’d order every so often as a filling pick-me-up. The hot, on the other hand, is more of a one-and-done in a small; good to try, but not something you’d crave again.
Bottom Line: The Protein Latte is a clever way to sneak in extra protein while still getting your coffee fix. The iced version is the clear winner — smooth, creamy, and satisfying. The hot is fine, but less convincing. Perfect for latte lovers who want more substance in their cup without giving up taste.
