Crumbl Review: Weekly Roundup August 31- September 6

This week’s Crumbl lineup had a little bit of everything: heavy chocolate, nostalgic fun, and fall-inspired flavours. Some stood out, while others felt more like filler. Here’s how they stacked up for me, from best to worst.

🥇Top Cookie of the Week: Chocolate Peanut Butter Sandwich

Rich, indulgent, but perfectly balanced. The chocolate and peanut butter each had their say without drowning the other out, and it avoided the weird aftertaste some PB treats can leave. This is one I’d come back for — satisfying without being too much.

🥈

Second Place: Circus Animal Sugar Cookie

Simple, fun, and nostalgic. It didn’t need to be fancy to hit the mark — crisp cookie, sweet frosting, playful sprinkles. It’s one of those cookies that makes you smile, even if it’s basic.

🥉

Third Place: Biscoff Ice Cream Cookie

Half hit, half miss. The cookie itself really did capture that spiced Biscoff taste, but the icing was sugar overload and overshadowed it. A cookie that could’ve been excellent if the balance was better.

Fourth Place: Chocolate Covered Strawberry

Dense and chocolate-heavy, with the strawberry barely making it past an aftertaste. If you’re here for chocolate, it works. But if you wanted the fruit to shine, it’s disappointing.

Fifth Place: Caramel Pumpkin Cake

Seasonal in theory, but not in execution. Tasted more like graham crumble with a faint hint of pumpkin. Caramel was MIA. Not bad, but not what the name promised.

Last Place: Kentucky Butter Cake

Soft and buttery, but forgettable. It melted in your mouth, sure, but it didn’t bring any real flavour. A filler cookie at best.

Bottom Line:

This was a mixed bag of a week. The Chocolate Peanut Butter Sandwich was the clear winner, bringing richness and balance. The Circus Animal Cookie was a fun runner-up, and the Biscoff Ice Cream Cookie had potential but leaned too sweet. The rest? Skippable unless you’re really curious.
