Review : Crumbl Hazelnut Sea Salt cookie
The Hazelnut Sea Salt cookie is an interesting one because it sounds like it should be rich and layered, but ends up feeling lighter than expected. The hazelnut comes through, though it’s more of a hint than a strong presence. There’s a nuttiness and a subtle sweetness, paired with the occasional hit of sea salt that keeps things from feeling one-note.
The cookie itself is thinner than most of Crumbl’s lineup, which changes the experience. Instead of a dense, heavy bite, this one is easier to get through. That makes it approachable, but also a little less indulgent than some might expect.
Flavor-wise, it’s good — balanced, nutty, a little sweet, a little salty. But if you were expecting a “Nutella-style” punch of hazelnut, you might be left wanting.
Still, it’s a cookie worth trying at least once, especially if you like nutty flavors with a savory twist.
