Copycat Starbucks Carmel Brûlée Latte
This homemade Caramel Brûlée Latte gives you the same light, sweet, creamy caramel flavour you loved — without needing Starbucks syrup bottles. It’s silky, mellow, and buttery, with that gentle caramel warmth that feels like a hug in a cup. You can make it hot or iced, and it tastes almost identical to the real thing.
Ingredients (1 drink)
Caramel Brûlée Base:
2 tbsp brown sugar
1 tbsp white sugar
1 tbsp butter
2 tbsp heavy cream
1 tbsp water
¼ tsp vanilla extract
Tiny pinch salt
Drink:
1–2 shots espresso (or ½ cup strong coffee)
¾ cup milk (any kind)
Ice (for iced version)
Whipped cream (optional)
Crushed caramel candy or raw sugar for “brûlée” topping (optional)
Instructions
1️⃣ Make the caramel brûlée syrup
In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt butter. Add brown sugar, white sugar, water, and salt. Stir until bubbling and smooth (1–2 minutes). Add cream and vanilla, whisking until silky. Remove from heat and set aside.
2️⃣ Build the latte (HOT)
Brew espresso into your mug. Add 2–3 tablespoons of the caramel brûlée syrup. Steam or microwave milk until hot and frothy. Pour milk over espresso. Top with whipped cream + crunchy sugar/candy.
3️⃣ Build the latte (ICED)
Add caramel brûlée syrup to a cup with espresso and stir well. Add ice. Pour cold milk over top. Finish with whipped cream + brûlée topping.
Tips
For a stronger caramel: add ½ tbsp extra brown sugar when cooking the syrup.
For less sweetness: use 1 tablespoon syrup instead of 2.
For extra Starbucks vibe: caramelize a teaspoon of sugar in a dry pan and sprinkle on top.
