Copycat Starbucks Sugar Cookie Matcha Latte

This is a sweet, cozy, dessert-like matcha drink that tastes exactly like a frosted sugar cookie. Soft, smooth, sweet, and creamy — and the matcha sits quietly in the background.

Ingredients (1 drink)

Sugar Cookie Syrup:

¼ cup white sugar

¼ cup brown sugar

½ cup water

1 tsp vanilla extract

¼ tsp almond extract

Pinch salt

Matcha Drink:

1 tsp ceremonial matcha

2 tbsp hot water

¾ cup milk (dairy or oat works best)

Ice for iced version

2–3 tbsp sugar cookie syrup

Instructions

1. Sugar cookie syrup

Combine sugars, water, and salt in a saucepan. Heat until dissolved. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla + almond. Cool.

2. Prepare matcha

Whisk matcha and hot water until smooth and frothy.

3. Build the drink

Hot:

Add syrup to mug. Add matcha. Steam milk and pour over top.

Iced:

Add syrup + matcha to cup and stir. Add ice. Pour cold milk over top.

Use a milk frother for perfect café-style sweetness distribution.
