Copycat Crumbl Maple Cream Sandwich Cookie
This cookie feels like a gourmet version of a maple sandwich cream — soft, chewy cookies hugging a smooth maple buttercream. Sweet but not cloying, this one is exactly what someone who loves maple flavours hopes for.
Ingredients (Cookies)
½ cup unsalted butter, softened
½ cup brown sugar
¼ cup granulated sugar
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 ½ tsp maple extract (not imitation)
1 ½ cups flour
½ tsp baking soda
¼ tsp baking powder
¼ tsp salt
½ tsp cinnamon
Optional: 2 tbsp maple syrup for extra depth
Ingredients (Maple Filling)
½ cup unsalted butter, softened
1 ½ cups powdered sugar
1–2 tbsp heavy cream
1 tsp maple extract
Pinch of salt
Instructions
1. Make Cookies
Cream butter + sugars. Add egg, vanilla, maple extract (and syrup if using). Mix dry ingredients separately; fold in. Scoop small dough balls, flatten slightly. Bake 350°F for 9–10 minutes, soft and pale.
2. Filling
Beat all filling ingredients until whipped and pipeable.
3. Assemble
Pipe a generous swirl on one cookie and top with another.
Tips
Use real maple extract for authentic flavour.
Chill assembled sandwiches 15 minutes for easier eating.
