Copycat Dairy Queen Cotton Candy Dipped Cone

The Cotton Candy Dipped Cone is all about nostalgia — sugary sweetness and that iconic crunchy shell. This homemade version gets you there with simple ingredients and an easy dip coating.

Ingredients (makes 4 cones)

4 vanilla ice cream cones (use your favorite soft-serve or scoopable ice cream) 1½ cups white chocolate chips 2 tbsp refined coconut oil 1 tsp cotton candy extract (or bubblegum extract for a similar vibe) Pink or blue food coloring

Instructions

In a microwave-safe bowl, melt white chocolate chips and coconut oil in 30-second bursts until smooth. Stir in cotton candy extract and food coloring. Freeze dipped cones for at least 5 minutes to harden. Dip each cone of ice cream quickly into the melted coating, turning to cover, then let excess drip off. Place upright in freezer 2–3 minutes to set before serving.

💡 If you want the real “DQ crunch,” add 2 tbsp powdered sugar to the dip mix before melting.
