Copycat Dairy Queen Red Velvet Blizzard

Ingredients

Ice Cream Base

  • 2 cups vanilla ice cream (slightly softened)

Red Velvet Cake Pieces

  • 1 cup red velvet cake (store-bought or homemade, cubed)

Cream Cheese Swirl

  • 4 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • ¼ cup powdered sugar
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

1. Prepare cream cheese swirl

Beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.

Set aside.

2. Prepare base

Place softened ice cream in a bowl or blender.

3. Blend

Add red velvet cake pieces and lightly mix.

Fold in cream cheese mixture — don’t fully blend, keep streaks.

4. Serve

Spoon into a cup and serve immediately.

Tips

  • Don’t overmix — you want chunks and swirls
  • Use soft cake, not dry, for best texture
  • Keep cream cheese slightly thick for proper swirl
  • Chill briefly if it softens too much
