Copycat Krispy Kreme Cinnamon Sugar Cake Doughnut

Ingredients

Cake Doughnut Batter

  • 1 ½ cups flour
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp butter (melted)
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Coating

  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon

Instructions

1. Make batter

Mix dry ingredients.

In another bowl, mix wet ingredients.

Combine until smooth.

2. Shape

Pipe or spoon into doughnut molds.

3. Bake

Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 10–12 minutes.

4. Coat

While warm, roll in cinnamon sugar.

Tips

  • Don’t overmix batter
  • Coat while warm so sugar sticks
  • Bake instead of fry for cake-style texture
