  • ½ tsp vanilla

  • sprinkles or edible glitter (optional)

Instructions

1. Activate yeast

In a bowl, mix warm milk and yeast.

Let sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy.

2. Make dough

Add sugar, egg, melted butter, and salt.

Mix in flour gradually until a soft dough forms.

3. Knead

Knead for 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.

4. First rise

Cover and let rise for 1 hour until doubled in size.

5. Shape

Roll out dough and cut into rounds.

6. Second rise

Let rest 20–30 minutes.

7. Fry

Heat oil to 350°F (175°C).

Fry doughnuts until golden on both sides.

Remove and let cool slightly.

8. Make filling

Whip heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla until thick but smooth.

9. Fill doughnuts

Pipe filling into the center of each doughnut.

10. Make glaze

Mix icing sugar, cocoa powder, milk, and vanilla until smooth.

11. Coat

Dip doughnuts into chocolate glaze while slightly warm.

12. Decorate

Drizzle white icing across the top to create a “space swirl” look.

Add sprinkles or edible glitter if desired.

Tips

  • Don’t overfill — keeps structure clean
  • Dip while doughnuts are still slightly warm for best coating
  • Keep glaze smooth, not too thick
  • Use a piping bag for clean drizzle lines
  • Maintain oil temperature for even frying
