Copycat Starbucks Pecan Oatmilk Cortado

Nutty, sharp, and unapologetically coffee.

This drink is small but bold. The pecan flavour is more of a rich aftertaste than a sweet syrup bomb, and the oatmilk softens the espresso without covering it up.

Ingredients (1 cortado)

  • 2 shots espresso
  • 2 oz oatmilk
  • ½ oz pecan syrup (see below)

Pecan Syrup:

  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup water
  • 2 tbsp chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. Simmer syrup ingredients 5 min, strain.
  2. Brew espresso, pour into small glass.
  3. Steam oatmilk until silky.
  4. Layer oatmilk over espresso, finish with pecan syrup.

Velvet Fork Twist: Toast the pecans before simmering the syrup — it makes the nut flavour deeper and keeps the drink from feeling flat.
