Copycat Starbucks Pecan Oatmilk Cortado
Nutty, sharp, and unapologetically coffee.
This drink is small but bold. The pecan flavour is more of a rich aftertaste than a sweet syrup bomb, and the oatmilk softens the espresso without covering it up.
Ingredients (1 cortado)
- 2 shots espresso
- 2 oz oatmilk
- ½ oz pecan syrup (see below)
Pecan Syrup:
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- ¼ cup water
- 2 tbsp chopped pecans
Instructions
- Simmer syrup ingredients 5 min, strain.
- Brew espresso, pour into small glass.
- Steam oatmilk until silky.
- Layer oatmilk over espresso, finish with pecan syrup.
Velvet Fork Twist: Toast the pecans before simmering the syrup — it makes the nut flavour deeper and keeps the drink from feeling flat.
