Copycat Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte (Hot & Iced)

Cozy, spiced, and stronger than it looks.

The PSL is less about pumpkin purée and more about spice—it’s warm, cinnamon-heavy, and comforting. The hot version is bolder and sharper, while the iced one is sweeter and creamier, but both give that “first chill of fall” feeling.

Ingredients (2 smalls)

  • 2 cups milk (dairy or oat)
  • ½ cup strong brewed coffee or 2 espresso shots
  • 3 tbsp pumpkin purée
  • 3 tbsp brown sugar
  • ½ tsp pumpkin pie spice
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Whipped cream + extra spice (for topping)

For iced version:

  • 1 cup ice

Instructions

Hot PSL:

  1. Heat milk, pumpkin, sugar, spice, and vanilla until steaming.
  2. Froth until foamy. Pour over coffee.
  3. Top with whipped cream + spice.

Iced PSL:

  1. Blend milk, pumpkin, sugar, spice, vanilla, and coffee until smooth.
  2. Pour over ice, add whipped cream + spice.

Velvet Fork Twist: Add a single clove to the simmering milk mixture (remove before blending) — it deepens the spice and makes the pumpkin feel richer without going overboard.
