Crumbl Caramel Shortbread Cookie ft. Twix review

If you love Twix bars, this cookie is going to pull you in immediately — it’s glossy, golden, and unapologetically indulgent. The first thing you notice is the caramel sheen layered over a chocolate drizzle, the kind that dares you not to lick your fingers. It’s thick, buttery, and smells exactly like a candy bar just unwrapped.

Bite in, and the first impression is textural heaven. You get that soft, chewy cookie base, followed by a creamy caramel layer that sticks around just long enough to make you close your eyes for a second. The chocolate drizzle gives that satisfying snap before it melts, and somehow, even without the literal Twix crunch, you still get that same layered candy feel — cookie, caramel, chocolate, repeat.

Flavor-wise, it’s sweet, but not aggressively so. The buttery shortbread base keeps the whole thing grounded, adding a bit of salt and warmth to what could have easily been sugar overload. The caramel is smooth, not tacky, and the chocolate doesn’t taste cheap or waxy. It’s cohesive — everything melts together in a way that feels intentional, like Crumbl wanted to prove that candy bar cookies could be elevated.

It’s decadent, but it’s balanced — rich without being sickly, satisfying without leaving you in a sugar coma. I’d call it one of those “reward cookies” — the kind you get after a long week when you just need something that feels like a win.

Would I get it again? Yes, but it’s a “special occasion” cookie. It’s the kind of treat that makes you pause for a moment and appreciate that Crumbl really does understand indulgence.

Check back next week for the recipe.
