Crumbl Reveiw: Cookies & Cream Cheesecake Cookie

This one had me excited because Crumbl usually does really well with anything “cookies and cream,” but I didn’t want it to turn into just another chocolate-leaning cookie with a tiny swirl on top. And honestly? This one does lean chocolate first, but in a way that still feels soft, creamy, and balanced enough that it actually works.

The base is that classic Crumbl-style soft, thick cookie—chewy edges with a slightly dense middle—but the chocolate they used here tastes more like a dark cocoa crumble than a sweet Oreo cream blend. It’s got that deeper, richer cocoa flavour rather than that sugary Oreo filling type of profile. So right away, the cookie sends you in a more chocolate-forward direction.

The “cheesecake” part comes from the topping, and that’s where all the softness shows up. It’s smooth, it’s creamy, and it has that sweet-but-not-too-sweet frosting feel. But here’s the thing: even though they call it cheesecake, it doesn’t really have that tang you’d expect from an actual cream cheese frosting. It’s more of a sweet cream that lightens the cookie but doesn’t take over. So instead of a full cheesecake hit, you get a gentle cream layer that keeps the whole cookie from feeling heavy.

Flavour-wise, I definitely got way more chocolate than cream. The topping helps bring balance, but it’s still not enough to push it into “cookies and cream” territory in the traditional sense. If you’re expecting strong Oreo vibes, this isn’t that—but if you like a mellow chocolate cookie with a soft frosting, it hits that lane perfectly.

Texture-wise, it’s classic Crumbl: thick, soft, and a little bit messy when you break into it. The cookie stays chewy without being cakey, and the frosting is silky, which helps the bite feel more dessert-like than cookie-like.

I’d say it’s a good cookie, not a standout for cookies and cream lovers, but still enjoyable. I’d eat it again if it showed up in a box, but I probably wouldn’t go out of my way to buy it as a single.
