Crumbl Review: Banana Bread Cookie
The Banana Bread Cookie sounds like the kind of thing that could easily be a hit or a miss. I wanted to love it — banana desserts are such a cozy idea — but this one didn’t quite get there for me.
Visually, it looks soft and homey, with that classic Crumbl frosting swirl and warm golden tones. The texture, as always, is spot-on — soft, chewy, slightly dense in that “bread” way that mimics a real banana loaf. But flavor-wise, the banana is subtle — almost too subtle.
What dominates is the topping — creamy, sweet, and pleasant — but it overshadows what little banana there is. It’s a nice cookie, don’t get me wrong, but it feels more like a soft sugar cookie in disguise than something inspired by banana bread.
Still, it’s enjoyable, and the texture alone earns it a passing grade. I just wish the flavor leaned more into that ripe, toasty banana note that makes banana bread feel special.
Would I get it again? Maybe — but more out of curiosity than craving. It’s nice, but it’s not the standout of the week.
