Crumbl Review : Double Fudge Brownie Cookie

The Double Fudge Brownie Cookie is exactly what it sounds like — a brownie wearing a cookie costume — and honestly Crumbl nailed the experience on this one. If you’re someone who likes those dense, gooey, corner pieces of a homemade brownie where it’s chewy on the outside but molten inside, this is basically that, but with better portion control and without needing a fork.

When you first look at it, it gives off that unmistakable brownie shine — that slightly cracked top, that glossy finish, and the kind of thickness that lets you know this thing is going to be substantial. No icing, no drizzle, nothing extra — just a fudge-forward cookie that stands on its own. I love when Crumbl knows a cookie doesn’t need to be decorated within an inch of its life, and this one proves it.

Taking a bite, the texture hits first: unbelievably soft in the center, almost molten but not messy, surrounded by a chewy, slightly firmer outer ring. It gives you everything you want from a fresh pan of brownies without your fingers ending up covered in melted chocolate. It’s rich — like proper brownie rich — but not so sweet that you need water between bites.

Flavour-wise, the chocolate is deep, warm, and fudgy rather than harsh or bitter. This isn’t the Dubai dark chocolate vibe that sometimes leans a bit too bitter; this is true American-style fudge brownie. Sweet, cozy, indulgent, but still smooth enough to avoid being overwhelming.

What makes this cookie impressive is the balance between richness and texture. A lot of Crumbl’s ultra-chocolate cookies get heavy fast because they’re dense AND sweet AND iced — but this one avoids all that. It’s rich, but not cakey. Fudgy, but not gooey-messy. Sweet, but not cloying. It walks that tightrope surprisingly well.

Another thing I appreciated is how consistent the flavour stays from bite to bite. Some Crumbl cookies shift as you get through them — icing-heavy bites, topping-heavy bites, dry-center bites — but this one stays exactly the same the whole way through: warm fudge, soft chew, cozy brownie energy.

This is easily one of Crumbl’s strongest “brownie-inspired” offerings. If you’re a chocolate lover, it’s a slam dunk. Even if you’re not a big chocolate person, the smooth, fudgy texture might still win you over because it’s not aggressive or sharp — it’s comfort dessert at its best.

Would I get it again?

Absolutely. Especially warmed up slightly. It’s classic, rich, and genuinely satisfying.
