Dubai Chocolate Cheesecake Cookie — Crumbl Weekly Review

Crumbl’s Dubai Chocolate Cheesecake Cookie sounds luxurious just from the name — and it certainly looks the part. Glossy, elegant, and layered with rich toppings, it feels like something you’d find in a boutique bakery window. Unfortunately, while it has the visuals down perfectly, the flavor doesn’t quite reach the same level this time around.

The cookie base is deep, dark chocolate — rich and dense, almost brownie-like. On top sits a swirl of chocolate cheesecake frosting, with a glossy drizzle that gives it that signature Crumbl finish. It’s a striking cookie, heavy in the hand, and it smells like pure cocoa powder and cream cheese frosting.

At first bite, it’s undeniably chocolate-forward — but not in the way you expect. It’s bitter, almost sharp, with a dryness that’s a bit surprising. The cheesecake frosting adds smoothness and some sweetness, but the combination leans more toward unsweetened cocoa than rich dessert. It feels like the ratio is off: too much dark base, not enough creamy topping to round it out.

There’s a complexity to it — layers of chocolate, slight tang from the frosting, and a faint espresso-like finish — but it’s missing the indulgent sweetness that makes other “Dubai” cookies work so well. It ends up tasting more like a dark chocolate experiment than a true cheesecake dessert.

Texture-wise, though, it’s spot on. The base is chewy with a crisp edge, the frosting is velvety, and the drizzle adds just enough contrast to make each bite feel layered. You can tell a lot of care went into constructing it — it just didn’t land flavor-wise this time.

If you’re a dark chocolate purist, you might actually enjoy it — it’s intense, deep, and not overly sweet. But if you’re looking for that signature Crumbl richness and dessert-like comfort, this one might feel a little harsh by comparison.

Verdict: Gorgeous presentation, but a little too bitter for its own good. The textures are lovely, but the flavor needs more balance between dark and sweet. For dark chocolate lovers, it’s a bold treat — for everyone else, it’s one to try once and move on.
