Krispy Kreme Cookies & Skreme House Doughnut Review

This one is bold from the get-go. The Cookies & Skreme House is a glazed shell doughnut filled with cookies-&-cream filling, dipped in chocolate, then topped with crunchy silver cookie bits, a swirl of purple buttercream, and a haunted-house-themed sugar piece on top.

Appearance & Aroma

It’s a statement. The chocolate-dipped exterior gives a rich baseline, then the purple swirl and haunted house topper punctuate it with whimsy. The silver cookie bits glint. The aroma is heavy on chocolate and cream — it smells like a chocolate milkshake with cookies in it.

First Bite & Flavor

Because it’s filled, the first bite gives a rush of cookies & cream filling — thick, sweet, and creamy. The chocolate dip adds a classic cocoa contrast. You taste the cookie bits too — they add crunch and extra cookie flavor. The purple swirl is subtle, more decorative than flavor-driving.

Texture & Balance

Filling + dip + crunchy bits = complexity. The filled center makes it heavy; every bite feels dense. The exterior shell is soft, not crisp. The cookie bits help with texture contrast, saving it from being one-note. The balance leans toward dessert indulgence rather than everyday doughnut.

Portion & Experience

One of these is definitely enough. Because of how rich it is, I slowed down halfway. But that’s okay — it’s meant to be savored.

Verdict

Cookies & Skreme House is the “showstopper” of the collection. If you only try one, this one brings layers, texture, and that classic cookies-&-cream comfort.

Rating: ~9.0/10 — arguably the most ambitious of the four.
