Krispy Kreme Spooky Sprinkle Doughnut Review

The Spooky Sprinkle takes on a lighter, fun angle. It’s built on the Original Glazed base, dipped in vivid green icing, and half of it (or one side) is coated with Halloween-themed sprinkles (purple, orange, black).

Appearance & Aroma

Looks playful — the green icing is the first thing your eyes go to, then the sprinkles sprinkle texture, and the glazed underlayer peeks through. The aroma is sweet, candy-ish, nothing bold.

First Bite & Flavor

Light green icing sweetness dominates at first, but the glaze below asserts itself shortly after. The sprinkles mostly add crunch and fun rather than flavor — you get bursts of sugary shell, but not much beyond that.

Texture & Balance

This is the lightest of the group. The icing is soft, the doughnut underneath is airy and thin by comparison to shell styles. The sprinkle crunch is pleasant. It’s not heavy, so you can zip through more of it faster.

Portion & Experience

One is easily manageable, maybe borderline a “snack” relative to the others. It’s not meant for deep indulgence, but as a fun seasonal treat.

Verdict

Spooky Sprinkle is sweet, playful, and festive — not going to blow your mind, but it’s fun. If you’re in the mood for something light that still feels holiday-themed, this is your pick.
