Review: Burger King Steakhouse Bacon Whopper (and Jr. Whopper)

The Steakhouse Bacon Whopper is Burger King doing what it does best: piling on flavour. From the first bite, it’s crunchy and saucy at the same time, with the toppings working together to make the burger feel more than just “meat and cheese.” The sauce is bold and creamy, and while it can lean toward overpowering if you’re sensitive to it, it ties everything together.

The bacon adds the right amount of crisp saltiness, balancing the saucy richness. Combined with the veggies, it feels hearty but not sloppy. It’s definitely a heavier burger, but it earns it with flavour.

The Jr. Steakhouse Bacon Whopper keeps the same personality, just in a more manageable size. You get the same crunchy, saucy combo without committing to the full grease-bomb. If you like the flavour but not the size, the Jr. is the way to go.

Bottom line: whether full-size or Jr., this burger stands out on BK’s menu. It’s indulgent, messy, and a little sauce-heavy, but when you’re craving a “loaded” burger, it absolutely hits.

✨ Next week, I’ll be sharing my copycat recipe for the Steakhouse Sauce — the key to pulling off this burger at home.
