Review: Crumbl Strawberry Cheesecake Cookie
The first thing that stands out with the Strawberry Cheesecake is the texture—it’s unbelievably smooth. That silky base hits before the cheesecake flavor even has a chance to show up, and when it does, it’s rich without being overbearing. Honestly, it’s some of the best cheesecake I’ve had from a chain, which is saying something.
The strawberry layer feels closer to fresh fruit than syrup, which gives it a brighter flavor than I expected. There isn’t a ton of tang in the cheesecake itself, so the strawberry is what keeps each bite from leaning too far into sweetness. The little swirl of whipped cream on top is pretty, but in practice it disappears into everything else—it’s more for looks than taste.
Portion-wise, I went with the mini, and by the end I was happy I did. It’s indulgent, and much more would have been too rich to finish comfortably. That said, as a cheesecake lover, I could easily see myself grabbing this as a weekly treat. But if you’re more into cookies than cheesecake, this one’s probably best as an occasional splurge—it’s heavy, and it eats more like a mini dessert than a casual cookie.
Bottom Line:
Smooth, rich, and fresh-fruited, this is a cookie for cheesecake fans first and cookie fans second. The Strawberry Cheesecake is indulgent enough to feel like a full-on dessert, making it a “special treat” pick that’s worth it—just in small doses.
Next week, I’ll be sharing my exclusive copycat recipe for a Strawberry Cheesecake Cookie that nails the balance — soft cookie base, tangier cream cheese layer, and fresh strawberry compote that keeps it bright instead of heavy. Subscribe so you don’t miss it.
