Review: Dairy Queen Confetti Cake Blizzard

The Confetti Cake Blizzard tries to bring birthday vibes, but it doesn’t quite go all the way. The first spoonful is mostly soft serve with just a hint of cake and a good scattering of sprinkles. It gives you a “birthday cake” feel, but more in spirit than in substance.

The sprinkles are plentiful and add a nice crunch, but the cake pieces either didn’t make it in, or got blended down into tiny flakes. Without larger chunks of cake, the Blizzard ends up tasting a lot like a vanilla sundae with sprinkles stirred in.

Portion-wise, a medium is easy enough to finish, but given how close it tastes to a cheaper sundae, it’s not one I’d go back for often.

Bottom Line:

The Confetti Cake Blizzard is a fun one-off, but it doesn’t offer enough cake to make it stand out. If you’re chasing birthday cake vibes, you might be better off with a simple sundae.

✨ Next week, I’ll be posting a copycat recipe for Dairy Queen’s Confetti Cake Blizzard so you can recreate this exact summer treat at home.
