Review: McDonald’s Vanilla Chai Frappe

The Vanilla Chai Frappe leans heavily into the vanilla side of its name — about 90% vanilla, with just the lightest chai spice hanging in the background. It’s definitely more of a sweet treat than a spiced drink, but the balance works. The sweetness is there, yet it never tips into being too much.

The texture is smooth with just the right amount of icy crunch, keeping it refreshing in the summer heat. It’s easy to drink quickly, and a large goes down without feeling overwhelming.

Bottom Line:
This is a drink made for summer — sweet, icy, and refreshing with just a whisper of chai. More vanilla lover’s frappe than true chai, but it works.

✨ Next week, I’ll be posting a copycat recipe for McDonald’s Vanilla Chai Frappe so you can recreate this exact summer drink at home.
