Review: Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte (Hot & Iced)

The Pumpkin Spice Latte at Starbucks is the poster child of fall, but depending on how you order it, the vibe shifts.

The hot version has a stronger spice note right away — cinnamon and nutmeg are up front, while the pumpkin itself is subtle. It’s cozy and warm, but not as pumpkin-heavy as the name promises.

The iced version goes down lighter, creamier, and sweeter, but the spice gets lost quickly. You have to go looking for it, and there’s almost no pumpkin flavour to speak of. Still, it’s very drinkable, just not as bold as the hot.

Both versions are creamy and smooth, like a typical latte. The hot feels more “fall in a cup,” while the iced is more of a casual seasonal swap for your regular latte.

Bottom Line:

If you want flavour, the hot wins. If you just want a seasonal iced coffee with a little spice, the iced is fine — but neither truly delivers a big pumpkin punch.
