Starbucks Review: Iced Ube Coconut Macchiato
This one is definitely more on the “interesting” side before you even take a sip.
Visually, it’s one of the nicer drinks. You’ve got that soft purple from the ube layered with milk and espresso, and it actually looks like something you’d go out of your way to try.
The first sip is smooth and slightly sweet right away. The coconut comes through first more than anything else, giving it that creamy base.
The ube is there, but it’s subtle. It adds a soft, almost vanilla-like sweetness rather than a strong distinct flavour.
Then the espresso comes in and grounds everything. It keeps it from being too dessert-like.
The balance is actually pretty good. Coconut leads, ube smooths, and coffee finishes.
It’s sweet, but not overly. It stays drinkable.
Texture is smooth and slightly creamy, especially once mixed.
This is one of those drinks that feels more unique than bold, but it works.
Final Verdict:
Smooth, slightly sweet, and coconut-forward. Ube adds softness rather than strong flavour.
