Starbucks Review: Lavender Matcha (Hot & Iced)

This one is a bit more unique, and it’s definitely not going to be for everyone — but if you like floral flavours, it actually works really well.

Visually, both versions are nice. The iced version has that soft green colour with a slightly muted tone from the lavender, while the hot version looks more like a classic matcha latte.

The first sip is where you really notice the difference.

The matcha is there, but it’s softened quite a bit. It’s not that strong, earthy matcha hit — it’s smoother and more mellow.

Then the lavender comes in. It’s noticeable, but not overpowering.

It adds a light floral note that sits on top of the drink rather than blending fully into it.

The balance is actually pretty good. The matcha keeps it grounded, and the lavender adds something different without turning it into something that tastes like soap or perfume.

Between hot and iced, they feel slightly different.

The iced version is more refreshing and easier to drink. The lavender feels lighter and less noticeable.

The hot version brings the lavender out more. It feels a bit stronger and more present, which can be good or bad depending on your taste.

Texture is smooth in both versions, slightly creamier in the hot one.

This is definitely more of a “try something different” drink rather than a daily go-to for most people.

Final Verdict:

Light, floral, and unique. Works well if you like lavender, but definitely not for everyone.
