Crumbl Review: Cake Batter Blondie Cookie
This one goes in the complete opposite direction — it’s not trying to be rich or deep, it’s trying to be fun and sweet, and it fully commits to that.
Visually, it’s lighter, usually covered in sprinkles, and looks more like something you’d expect at a birthday party than a bakery.
The first bite is soft and slightly chewy, with that typical blondie-style texture. It’s not dense like the brownie cookie, but it’s still thick enough to feel substantial.
The cake batter flavour hits immediately. It’s very vanilla-forward, very sweet, and very familiar. If you’ve ever had cake batter anything, you know exactly what this tastes like.
There’s no subtlety here at all. It doesn’t ease into the flavour — it just is cake batter from the first bite to the last.
That’s both the strength and the weakness.
On one hand, it does exactly what it’s supposed to do. On the other, it’s very one-note. There’s no contrast, no depth, no shift in flavour as you eat it.
The sweetness is high, but not unbearable. It stays just on the edge of being too much.
Texture:
- soft, slightly chewy center
- smooth consistency throughout
- occasional slight crunch from sprinkles
This is an easy cookie to eat, but also one that can get repetitive quickly.
Final Verdict:
Sweet, nostalgic, and very cake batter-forward. It’s fun and well-executed, but simple and one-dimensional.
