Review: Wendy’s Meal of Misfortune (Wednesday collab)
The Meal of Misfortune is all about the Wednesday tie-in, but it actually has some fun surprises. The nuggets were the biggest standout — crispy outside, soft inside, and seasoned differently than Wendy’s usual. There’s a little more depth to the flavour, which makes them feel like more than just standard nuggets.
The dip is where the collab shines. It’s a sweet-and-spicy combo that stays pretty balanced: not overwhelmingly hot, but with just enough kick to keep things interesting. It’s one of those sauces that could work outside a limited-time collab, and I wouldn’t complain if it stuck around.

Fries are the usual Wendy’s — nothing new there. The Frosty, on the other hand, gets dressed up with the bright red “Raven’s Blood” drizzle. It’s fruity-sweet rather than just plain sugar, which works nicely in a vanilla Frosty. In a chocolate one, though, it gets lost and barely stands out.
Bottom line: the whole thing is more of a fun gimmick than a must-have meal, but it’s a gimmick that works. If you’re a Stranger Things fan, it’s worth grabbing once for the novelty — especially for the sauce.
✨ Next week, I’ll be sharing copycat recipes for Frostys — including how to make a version that captures the Raven’s Blood twist.
