Crème Brûlée Filled Timbit — Tim Hortons Winter 2025 Review
This one’s the surprise hit of the new winter lineup — the Crème Brûlée Filled Timbit. At first glance, it looks like a typical glazed Timbit, golden-brown and shiny under its light coating. Nothing about it really hints at the custard center waiting inside. But bite in, and it’s immediately clear that this isn’t one of the usual cream-filled suspects.
The filling is smooth — a proper custard, not that syrupy or whipped filling you get in some of their seasonal Timbits. It’s velvety and eggy in the best way, with that faint toasted-sugar depth that makes crème brûlée feel elevated. What’s impressive is that it manages to taste like crème brûlée without being tooth-achingly sweet. It’s rich but clean, creamy but not heavy — you get that burnt-caramel flavor note, but it fades gracefully instead of lingering.
The outer doughnut is classic Tim’s: soft, lightly fried, and evenly glazed. The glaze adds just the right touch of sweetness to contrast the custard’s mild richness. When you bite through both layers at once — the thin glaze, the pillowy dough, and the cool custard — it’s surprisingly close to eating an actual spoonful of crème brûlée.
It’s also well-balanced in sweetness. Compared to the regular filled Timbits (think chocolate or raspberry), this one’s subtler and more grown-up. You could eat two or three without feeling like you’re on a sugar overload. It has that same appeal as the Boston Cream Timbit, but the filling here feels smoother and more premium.
The best part? It works in every context. It’s fancy enough to feel like a holiday treat, but it’s also just… fun. The kind of Timbit that makes you go back for one more when you swore you were done.
Would I buy a whole box of just these? Yeah, honestly — I wouldn’t complain. They’re that balanced.
Verdict: A shockingly good seasonal Timbit — smooth, creamy, and subtly caramelized. Feels indulgent but not sugary. Definitely one of the strongest holiday Timbits Tim’s has ever done.
